The Laugardalslaug swimming pool is fun for kids at every age. Highly recommended.

Language

Icelandic is the official language and spoken by all the locals. Most people speak English, and many believe they can speak a scandinavian language. Give it a try and see how it goes ;-)

Money

Icelandic Krona is the official currency. Everyone accepts VISA/MasterCard, some accept American Express and then a few take other charge cards.

Negatives

Negatives about Reykjavik depend on what you decide it is. The weather can be wet, but nothing a good set of protective clothes can manage.
